This is the classic cocktail recipe—minus the alcohol and with a boost of added nutritional benefits. The Paloma Mocktail delivers everything you love about the signature drink, with an extra emphasis on Ruby Red Grapefruit.
Lately, virgin drinks, mocktails, and zero-proof cocktails—whatever term you prefer to call them—have been all the rage.
I'm a believer in all things in moderation. So this recipe isn't a means of swearing off all alcohol or beloved vino, but if you can swap out an alcoholic drink and sip something with health benefits in its place, why not? Since we are at the beginning of January, also known as "Dry January" use this as an opportunity to try something new, that is good for your health and equally refreshing. Who knows...maybe this will replace the old recipe from your rotation all together.
The Topo Chico Mineral Water is a great substitute and helps keep the drink from being too sweet. I really love the flavors, especially the freeze-dried strawberries blended into the salty-sweet rim. The strawberry brightens up the taste of the Ruby Red Grapefruit and makes it shine.
