This Cucumber Lime Gimlet Mocktail is super refreshing and the perfect blend of botanical and citrus flavors, all married together. Using our homemade Zero-Proof Gin, this drink covers all the bases and is sure to please even the most discriminating tastebuds.
This drink is one of my favorites to order when we go out. But it's nothing new ⎯the original Gimlet cocktail has been around a very long time, we're talking since the late 1800's. Apparently, a physician named Sir Thomas D. Gimlette would administer gin with lime juice to his patients as a medicinal remedy, using the lime juice to mask the bitter taste of the gin. Hence the name Gimlet.
This Cucumber Lime Gimlet Mocktail won't need to cover up any Gin in this zero-proof cocktail. We use our homemade gin-like replacement for a touch of botanical flavor notes to mimic the original. I think Dr. Gimlette would have preferred our version since it provides some additional health benefits along with how refreshing it is to sip on. Just what the doctor ordered. 😉
