This Blue Ocean Water Drink Recipe is a refreshing tropical mocktail made with coconut water, citrus, blue spirulina, and a hint of coconut extract. Inspired by those bright blue ocean style drinks we all love, this easy recipe delivers vibrant color, refreshing flavor, and tropical vacation vibes in every sip. Enjoy it as-is, top it with optional coconut sea foam, or serve it at pool parties, beach-themed gatherings, and summer celebrations.
Add ice to the shaker and combine the lemonade, limeade, coconut water, Topo Chico (if using), blue spirulina, and coconut extract. Shake until well chilled.
Pour the bright blue mixture evenly between the prepared glasses.
Garnish with fresh lime wheels.
For the optional coconut sea foam, froth the heavy cream, coconut milk, and cream of coconut until thick but still pourable. Gently spoon over the top of each drink just before serving.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Start with a few drops of coconut extract and adjust to taste. A little goes a long way, but it really helps boost the coconut flavor while keeping the drink bright blue.
For the brightest blue color, avoid adding coconut milk or cream directly to the drink itself. If using the optional coconut sea foam, expect the color to soften slightly where the foam meets the drink.
Homemade limeade works beautifully if you can't find prepared limeade at the store.
Making this for kids? Serve it in smaller cups and top with ocean-themed gummies for a fun beach or ocean-inspired treat.
Ocean-themed gummies also make a great garnish for pool parties, Shark Week celebrations, summer birthdays, and beach-themed gatherings.
