If you're looking for a unique cookie recipe that’s both magical and delicious, this marshmallow cookie recipe is sure to impress. These Lucky Marshmallow Cookies are cloud-like soft, pillowy cookies with the added crunch of the Lucky Charms Cereal Crumbly exterior. Bonus points, no need to chase a leprechaun to the end of a rainbow to experience this pot of gold.

Not just saying this for the recipe, but Lucky Charms Cereal is seriously one of my all time favorites. I can't think of another cereal that could compete with it. The cereal pieces have just a touch of sweetness and only elevate with each bite of a magical marshmallow here and there. Not to mention the milk. The milk is transformed into a swirl of different colors from the marshmallows and sweetened perfectly by the time you finish the bowl.
Hopefully that read like a foreshadow. Well..if not, we used different parts of the cereal here including a sweetened "end of the bowl" milk. I know, I know people go mad over just the marshmallows. Stores are selling a bag of the Lucky Charms marshmallows alone. But I really wanted these cookies to be so much more than just about the marshmallows. Lucky Charms brings way more texture and taste from the mixture the cereal, marshmallows, and the flavored milk all combined. Pops of milky goodness from the white chocolate are reminiscent of the cold milk you’d usually fish the cereal out of on a sleepy weekend morning. This one’s bound to be on your list of favorite cookies.

Real Tip
Time is everything. If you don't have time to steep the cereal and marshmallows in warm milk, feel free to skip the step entirely. Alternatively, you could try adding some cereal to cold milk, leaving the bowl to sit for a couple of minutes, and then straining out the marshmallows and cereal before adding the milk to the recipe. It may not provide as strong of a flavor as the method I used, but it’s worth a shot if it saves you time.

- ¾ cup White Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions
Before Starting: Check the instructions for prepping the Cereal-Infused Milk & Cereal Crumble first! ⬇️
- If you don't have time to let your dough chill, preheat your oven from the start to 350 °F
- If you have time to chill your dough, skip the preheating step until you are closer to putting the cookies into the oven.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Put to the side.
- Using a mixer cream the butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla together in another mixing bowl.Add the egg, be sure to mix the egg with the butter mixture well before going to the next step.
- Slowly add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture. Once both mixtures are blended, add the infused cereal milk by the tablespoon until it is well combined.
- Put the mixing bowl, covered in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
- After 15 minutes of your dough's chill time, preheat your oven to 350 °F
- Once the 30 minutes of chill time are up and your oven is preheated, scoop 1 tablespoon of dough to form each cookie, roll each ball of dough into the Lucky Charms Cereal Crumble and then onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Be sure to leave space between the cookies.
- Bake the cookies for 14-16 minutes. Be sure to watch the cookies and remove them when the edges are slightly golden.
- As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press white chocolate chips and Lucky Charms marshmallows onto the tops of each one.
- Let the cookies cool completely. Enjoy!
"End of the Bowl" Cereal Infused Milk
- Heat ½ cup of milk over medium-low heat. Add ¼ cup of the Lucky Charms cereal and marshmallow mixture to the milk. Add the cereal, stir, and turn off the heat. Leave covered on the stove for 5-7 minutes. Pour the mixture into a sieve over a bowl to strain the cereal and marshmallow out of the milk. Put the milk to the side to cool.
Lucky Charms Cereal Crumble
- Crush 1 cup of Lucky Charms cereal and marshmallows into a coarse mixture for coating the cookie dough. Transfer to a bowl, then mix in a tablespoon of white sugar and a pinch of edible gold glitter (if you’re feeling extra). Stir well and set aside.
