If you want a refreshing sip that feels indulgent and like a vacation in a glass, this is it. This Lemoncoco is inspired by a famous Roman lemonade drink, served exclusively at a beloved kiosk that’s still in Rome today. Once you drink your lemonade the Roman way, I dare you to ever settle for a plain cup again, it just loses the glitz and charm that this creamy, dreamy cup brings.

When we were traveling to Rome, this drink was definitely on my must-try list. Sadly, between the extreme heat and trying to see all the major landmarks, we never made it to the original Lemoncocco (yes, spelled with two C’s) kiosk. So while this isn’t their exact recipe, it’s my own take inspired by the awe, delicious descriptions, and pictures of their famous drink.
Lemon and coconut might sound like an unusual combo at first, but once you try it, you’re instantly hooked. The coconut adds a rich depth and creaminess that balances the bright, zesty lemon perfectly. Plus, coconut milk is known for its hydrating properties and contains electrolytes, making it great for quenching thirst—so this drink feels like a little health boost in every sip.
Lemoncoco is a drink that is always on replay at our house and is definitely the unofficial mark of summer’s start. It’s definitely become the inaugural sipper for pool season. When guests come over, it’s easy to mix up in a big batch and serve by the pitcher, keeping the glasses flowing and the good vibes going.
While being in Rome is sure to make sipping a drink like this even more magical, why not bring a little piece of Rome to you and drink in that Roman sunshine wherever you are? ☀️ 🍋 🥥
